Amazing images of a herniated disc healing itself without surgery

I read this article over the weekend and thought it was very important to post.

I have seen similar healing with patients that were PATIENT enough to persist with activity and exercise. We know that the results for people with back pain are similar with or without surgery. A lot of people assume that a disc herniation is too big too heal...here is proof that the body can heal itself...we just need to help by not getting in the way!

The two most common mistakes I see patient's making is doing too much too soon...AND...not doing enough.

Rest does NOT help people with back pain...nor does ignoring the symptoms and trying to push through the pain.

Much like the rest of our life, find balance is the key.
